Southport MP: I hope to see a better experience for Northern passengers

This was supposed to be a good year for passengers. New services, new routes, and more capacity. In trying to deliver these improvements to people’s lives, however, Northern and Network Rail have just badly inconvenienced them. Since the timetable changes, I have channelled my constituents’ anger into lobbying everyone involved - including my own government. From September, I understand services will resume between Southport and Manchester Piccadilly, and I believe we will start to see the other improvements promised us.
